Taconnerie - Old Town, Geneva

Renovation of an apartment building in the Old Town of Geneva. The works concern the repair of the roof and the facades, of six housing units, an arcade and 2 basements. The building is classified and rich in heritage "substance", moldings, woodwork, sash windows. One of the challenges was to find a functional and contemporary typology while respecting historical elements.

The objective is to meet the strong demand for housing that local means of production and construction are unable to provide. The set must be inexpensive and well made. In the medium term, production should be located in Malabo in order to create local employment.
